The Foundation for Art and Music in Education, better known as FAME, aims to foster and perpetuate creativity through multicultural arts education.
Their annual showcase, the FAME Festival, features what students have learned during the course of the year with performances (piano, vocal, dance, and drama) and art displays, along with workshops featuring guest musicians, dancers, and visual artists.
The Fort Wayne FAME Festival celebrates its 36th anniversary Saturday and Sunday, March 11-12, at downtown’s Grand Wayne Convention Center. If you like what you see or if you can’t make it to this event, another chance to see the benefit of FAME comes when Wabash FAME presents its program March 18 at the Honeywell Center.
Admission is $5 in Fort Wayne while the Wabash show is free.
