Campfire Festival at the historic Buck Lake Ranch in Angola will honor Fort Wayne’s own Petra when the event takes place Aug. 19-21, with Petra taking the stage at 7:30 p.m. on Aug. 20.
With a style that fits with mainstream bands like Journey and Styx, Petra at one time were the biggest name in contemporary Christian music, selling more than 10 million albums and recognized with 13 Grammy nominations. The band will perform at this inaugural festival, celebrating their 50th anniversary together by playing the songs their fans know and love.
Other artists and speakers set to take the stage throughout the festival include Chere Pepper, Chosen, Jensen Snyder, Jacob’s Well, Unlikely Alibi, and Bill Luther.
Buck Lake Ranch, the venue that has hosted a number of legendary performers including Johnny Cash, Buddy Holly and Hank Williams, will be celebrating its own anniversary during the event. It turns 75 years old this year.
