The eighth annual Art in the Skatepark is an art auction of a different kind, jettisoning traditional art in favor of pieces created from old, used, and broken skateboards.
Look around Saturday, Aug. 3, as Slam City Skatepark & Shoppe is transformed into a beautiful exhibition to showcase artwork from local and regional artists.
Food will be available for purchase and music will be on tap to entertain. Money raised will go to support the skate park as well as to fund other events the park hosts throughout the year.
Admission is free.
