A true pioneer of the recording industry, Grammy-winning singer-songwriter and feminist icon Ani DiFranco is set to hit the stage of the historic Embassy Theatre on Thursday, Jan. 26.
A little more than 30 years ago at the age of 19, DiFranco started her own record label, kicking off a career that has seen her produce 20 studio albums and collaborate with a wide variety of legendary musicians, from Prince and Bruce Springsteen to Bob Dylan and Chuck D of Public Enemy.
DiFranco will be celebrating the 25th anniversary of her best-selling album, the recently remastered and reissued two-disc live album Living in Clip, when she visits the Summit City.
Peter Mulvey, a self-proclaimed road dog and raconteur who has a catalog of 19 albums, including Love Is the Only Thing, his most recent release, will open the show.
