Also of note, they'll be at the Embassy Theater Sunday, June 10 for a 3 p.m. performance.
Celtic Woman began as the brain child of the creators of Riverdance. The idea was to bring together talented female singers and instrumentalists to perform not only traditional Irish music but contemporary work as well. The group was an overnight success, and, while it has gone through a number of lineup changes since its inception, a commitment to excellence and a devotion to making beautiful music together has remained constant. The current lineup is Mairead Carlin (vocals), Susan McFadden (vocals), Eabha McMahon (vocals) and Tara McNeill (vocals and violin).
According to the Cincinnati Arts Guide, a performance by Celtic Woman is not to be missed. It is "more than just an enjoyable evening of song and dance; it is a reminder of the importance of unity and the strength of women."
