Heartland Sings is a non-profit vocal production company based in Fort Wayne. Established a little more than 20 years ago, their goal is to “change lives through song.” Striving for excellence in programming, Heartland Sings serves as a “proactive source for music and education and encourages all citizens to sing.
That’s where “Karaoke Classics Live: The Carpenters” enters. The event, taking place November 9 at C2G Music Hall, is a karaoke night, but not just any karaoke night. The Heartland Sings artists and band will accompany audience members as they sing along with the timeless music of Karen and Richard Carpenter. The siblings released ten albums over their brief 14-year career, leaving behind a trail of hits a mile long including “Close To You,” “Rainy Days and Mondays,” and “Please, Mr. Postman.” But, “We’ve Only Just Begun” to tell you about what the night holds. Everything you could ask for in a karaoke night will be available to purchase including food and liquid courage, otherwise known as alcohol.
This is the first in a series of theme nights for Heartland Sings. Upcoming concepts include Endless Love in February and The Beatles in April.
Don’t spend your Friday playing “Solitaire,” “For All We Know” “You’re The One” that could bring down the house and make it a truly legendary night.
