The rest of the Middle Waves lineup features Julien Baker & Torres, Mannequin P***y, Ratboys, Post Sex Nachos, and local standouts Loveseat!

Along with live music, this year’s festival will also feature activities for festivalgoers to engage in, including the Art Zone, Game Zone, and a Vendor Zone. Of course, there will be local food partners serving up their tasty concoctions.

Tickets are $45 and $10 for those 12 and younger. They  can be purchased now by going to  middlewaves.com, fwembassytheatre.org, ticketmaster.com, and at The Embassy box office.

Learn from Debutants at PFW summer camp

Debutants are offering something pretty sweet for those young musicians out there.

From July 28-Aug. 1, the Debutants Hoot Camp will teach kids in grades 4-12 how to play bluegrass music. The camp runs from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. each day at Purdue Fort Wayne Music Center and will explore ear training and improvisation in an acoustic string band setting.

Students can register for violin/fiddle, guitar, mandolin, banjo, upright bass, cello, or viola. They will then learn from the touring performers and licensed educators that make up Debutants.

In addition, Hoot Camp students are invited to join the Debs on stage that Friday, for a performance in PFW’s Auer Performance Hall in collaboration with PBS39’s Summit City Music Series.
