An award-winning Italian joint has added another taste to the diverse options for Union Street Market at Electric Works with Pasta di Guy moving in.

Of course, there are traditional Italian dishes at the fast-casual Italian-themed eatery, but owner and creator Guy Carmeli puts his own spin on them. He points to his family’s Italian roots and training at the prestigious Le Cordon Bleu Culinary School in London.

Homemade creations such as their chef’s pasta — a combination of long Strozzapreti noodles and vodka sauce — earned them the title of “Best Italian” restaurant by the Tampa Bay Times, where the business began as a food truck in 2019.

Other items include wraps, sandwiches, and salads, and build your own with penne, pasta, and spaghetti accented with homemade sauce with meat and vegetable toppings.

Having trouble making a choice? Well, “Build Your Pasta” and sauces by the pound only complicate your decision in a good way.

This is the third Pasta di Guy location with the other two in Florida.

It comes with pickles, shredded lettuce, chopped onions, cheese, and extra helpings of the special sauce on a sesame seed bun. (I know some of you were singing that popular jingle from the 1970’s commercial.)
