Like many bands out of the ’70s and ’80s, Foghat still forges on to this day with a steady road schedule and new music. Best known for the songs “Slow Ride” and “I Just Want to Make Love to You,” the band has touched generations since baby boomers first purchased their vinyl and 8-tracks.

Sadly, Foghat has since lost two of the four original members, and bassist Tony Stevens no longer plays with the band, but drummer Roger Earl continues to keep the legacy alive. He’s recruited some fine musicians including vocalist Charlie Huhn (Ted Nugent, Humble Pie), guitarist Bryan Bassett (Wild Cherry, Molly Hatchet), and bassist Rodney O’Quinn.

You can catch this well-oiled machine at The Clyde on Thursday, Aug. 1. Tickets go on sale Friday, May 24, at 10 a.m. at clydetheatre.com, the Clyde box office, all three Wooden Nickel locations, Neat Neat Neat Records, Sweetwater Sound, and by calling (800) 514-3849. Seeing Foghat at The Clyde is sure to be a treat!
