The Kehoe Summer Concert Series kicked off last week with a performance by Zoso-The Ultimate Led Zeppelin Experience.
Located along the banks of the Wabash River in Bluffton, the series allows concertgoers of all ages to enjoy free music underneath the beautiful night sky.
All that is required from you is to bring a lawn chair or blanket and enjoy some of the tasty food or beverages available for purchase.
The upcoming calendar includes the 1988 Rock Band on July 24, The Sweetwater All Stars on July 26, Dirty Deeds: Extreme AC/DC Tribute Band and Completely Unchained: The Ultimate Van Halen Tribute on Aug. 14, and Magic Bus “Journey to Woodstock” on Aug. 29.
Kehoe Park is located behind the Dutch Mill Plaza on Indiana Route 1 in Bluffton. The rain site for all concerts is Bluffton Middle School.
Grateful for the dead
Jerry Garcia’s influence will be heard locally when a handful of bands join forces to celebrate what would have been Garcia’s 78th birthday.
On Saturday, Aug. 1, beginning at 4 p.m. Dan Dickerson’s Harp Condition, Grateful Groove, Debutants, and Phil Schurger’s Sungate will head to Buck Lake Ranch in Angola for a free show in honor of Garcia. Camping is only $10.
’80s workout and brunch
One bright side of the pandemic has been the fact that people are getting outside and enjoying the fresh air.
Our friends at JK O’Donnell’s are doing their part with a special workout on Saturday, July 18, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. The ’80s Brunch workout with Sara Ellsworth will take place on the back patio, weather permitting, and with proper distancing.
Being an ’80s event, you should put on your brightest leotards, leg warmers, and high tops while working up a sweat.
For only $12, you will receive a unique workout experience and a themed cocktail, draft beer, or cider. To reserve your spot, visit JK’s soon as they will be limiting it to 25 people.
Iconic women of rock
