Have you seen the lineup for the upcoming Night at the Philmore event on Friday, Sep. 13? Well, let’s just say it’s a good one.
Taking the Philmore on Broadway stage that evening at 8:30 p.m. will be the Nashville pop-rock outfit *repeat repeat, the Brooklyn-based indie folk rock act The Bergamot, and local heroes James and the Drifters.
Shut up and take my money!
For those of you not aware of *repeat repeat, they are about to hit the road this fall with The Black Keys and Modest Mouse, so that right there should tell you these cats have talent.
As for The Bergamot, you might recall this husband-and-wife duo who brought their golden era ’70s folk and ’60s coastal rock to last year’s Middle Waves festival.
With three solid acts, drinks provided by Don Hall’s, and food from Chow Down Food Truck (Korean tacos), this has the making of a something special. Plus, you might as well make it a date night or an evening with friends as this is an event for ages 21 and up.

Dr. Dog Tribute
Speaking of Middle Waves, last year’s installment was headlined by American rock band Dr. Dog.
If you were one of the attendees that magical evening, you will be excited to know that some local musicians will pay homage to the group on Friday, Sept. 13, at the Brass Rail.
Dr. Dog’s musical style of indie rock will be portrayed by the likes of The Orange Opera, The Debutants, Jon Ross, and Zach Kerschner. A Tribute to Dr. Dog will get under way at 10 p.m.
Halloween Show for Mushroomhead
Veteran Cleveland, Ohio, metallers Mushroomhead are embarking on a Halloween tour that kicks off in late September and runs through November.
What’s cool about this tour is not only will it make a stop here in the Fort but it will be on Halloween night (October 31) to boot. Yeah, out of all the dates, we get the big one.
Known for its stunningly theatrical live show and artsy masks, the group has gained quite a fanbase in the Summit City having performed here numerous times over the years.
This time around, they’ll duke it out at Flashback Live alongside He Kill 3, Dead Superstar, and Unsaid Fate.
I’d be very impressed if you already had plans for the holiday, but if not, this would be the ideal event to attend. Just remember to come in your best costume.

Forks of the Wabash
The female driven act Whoa, Man! will take their talents to Huntington, Ind., on Sunday, Sept. 29, for The Forks of the Wabash Pioneer Festival.
The festival, now in its 44th year, allows patrons to encounter re-enactors living the lifestyle of Hoosier pioneers. You can find crafts and antiques, old-fashioned games for the young’uns, food, entertainment, and more.
The festival actually runs Sept. 28 and 29 with Whoa, Man! performing on Sunday at 4 p.m. For more info on the festival, go to Pioneerfestival.org.
