Heads Up! This article is 3 years old.

If you recall, The Allman Betts Band were scheduled to perform last month at the Sweetwater Performance Pavilion until the show was suddenly postponed along with 30 other North American dates following the emergency appendectomy of member Devon Allman.

It was a bummer for those waiting to see the band deliver the goods, but there is good news.

Allman has made a full recovery and is ready to hit the road alongside bandmate Duane Betts. Luckily for us, Fort Wayne is still on their itinerary.

On Friday, Feb. 7, The Allman Betts Band will perform at the Clyde Theatre along with special guests JD Simo and Jackson Stokes. Come out and feast your eyes and ears on this outstanding act featuring the bloodline of a couple of music legends Gregg Allman and Dickey Betts.

Sum 41 and Blue Oyster Cult At The Clyde

In addition to that news, the Clyde Theatre announced a couple more worthy shows:

Canadian punk vets Sum 41 will take the stage on Friday, Dec. 20, and rock legends Blue Oyster Cult on Friday, Dec. 27.

Tickets for all three shows go on sale Friday, Sept. 13, at 10 a.m. at the Clyde box office, all three Wooden Nickel Records locations, Neat Neat Neat Records, Sweetwater, online at clydetheatre.com or by calling 800-514-3849.

Neighborlink Fundraiser

NeighborLink Fort Wayne is partnering with Brotherhood Mutual for an al-ages concert on Thursday, Sept. 26 to help raise awareness of the needs of vulnerable homeowners in the community.

The University of Saint Francis Robert Goldstine Performing Arts Center will be the setting that evening (7 p.m) as Addison Agen headlines alongside another local favorite, The Legendary Trainhoppers.

Tickets are $20 for general admission and $45 for the VIP meet and greet package and can be purchased via Tickets.artstix.org. Proceeds from the event will directly support NeighborLink Fort Wayne’s mission.

Supporting Wellspring

On Friday, Nov. 15, C2G Music Hall will host Drop the Mic — An Evening Celebrating Wellspring. From 7-10:30 p.m., be sure to come out for smiles and laughs while supporting Wellspring Interfaith.

This year’s event will feature live music by A Night to Remember and comedy by Dave Dugan. Those of you not familiar with Dugan, he’s been on HBO, Comedy Central, Fox networks, The Arsenio Hall Show, and The Bob and Tom Show.

Drop the Mic will feature heavy hor d’oeuvres, desserts, a cash bar, and a silent auction. There are a couple different ticketing options that even includes the opportunity to meet Dugan. They can be purchased through Etix.com.

Exterminate all Rational Thought

Fresh off a performance at the Taste of the Arts Festival, Exterminate All Rational Thought are gearing up for their performance at Harley Davidson of Fort Wayne, 6315 Illinois Road, on Saturday, Sept. 14. Whether you have a bike or not, stop by for Bike Night from 5-8 p.m. and enjoy food by Hawkins Famous Fish, drinks, games, live music by EART, and of course bikes. There will also be a chance you could win a brand new MY19.5 Electra Glide Standard.

Plus, bring the youngsters with you as there will be Stacyc demos and races from 3-5 p.m. In any event, it should be fun for all and a great opportunity to pick up a copy of EART’s latest release Chromatophores.
