Although AC/DC recently released a new studio album, Power Up, it’s probably going to be some time until we see them live. With that being said, it’s a good thing we have Thunderstruck: America’s AC/DC Tribute out on the road. The band is no stranger to the Fort having performed here on a number of occasions and, as a matter of fact, will be returning on Friday, April 23, for a performance at the Rockstar Lounge. If you have yet to see these cats in action, they pack a one-two punch of the songs you know and love from all eras of AC/DC. The wardrobe is near spot on, too. Tickets for the show are $20 general admission and $35 VIP (balcony seating and dedicated waitress). They can be purchased via TicketWeb. B-Side offers streaming concertThe B-Side at One Lucky Guitar has a special evening lined up for Thursday, Feb. 25, at 9 p.m. when they welcome B-Side/Middle Waves alums David Wax Museum. “Marigold: An Online Evening with David Wax Museum” will allow those in attendance to enjoy the warmth, wonder, and optimism of the band’s beautiful songs performed virtually. The folk and roots rock band’s new album, Euphoric Ouroboric, was written and recorded during the pandemic and will be released in the near future. Plus, their song “Big Sur” is featured in the new Netflix series Firefly Lane. The duo has definitely kept themselves busy as of late and you can witness their hard work firsthand at the B-Side showing. All ticket sales to this show will benefit the Community Foundation of Greater Fort Wayne’s Women’s Fund. They are available now for only $10 through Eventbrite. Debutants EPDebutants have officially released their long-awaited EP, Indiana Newgrass. Five solid tracks can be found on this bad boy, including “Phantom Vibrations” and “Try Not (To Be Scared).” It was recorded and mixed by Tyler Thompson at Studio 110 in Pennsylvania. Indiana Newgrass is available for streaming and download at As of press time, Debutants have no shows scheduled, but I’m sure that will change soon. Whatzup will keep you posted. Until then, check out this fine EP. Smyth’s SongLocal singer-songwriter Dan Smyth has released a new music video for his tune “Light.” Jason Davis of Off the Cuff Sound contributed the drums, guitar, and recording, while Ed Renz can be heard on baritone sax, bass clarinet, and flute. “This song is about the inner light we all have and that we all to some degree tamp down, ignore, or let others consume,” Smyth said. The nearly five-minute video was made by Frank Louis Allen and can be found on the Dan Smyth Music Facebook page. In addition, you can find “Light” on Bandcamp for your listening pleasure along with another new number, “Before You Waste It.”
