With comedy shows at the Tiger Room at Welch’s Ale House, the Fort Wayne Comedy Club, and the newly opened Summit City Comedy Club, there are plenty of laughs to be had as of late.
The evening of Saturday, Feb. 12, will be no exception as Embassy Theatre will open their stage to comedy when they welcome Fort Wayne native Kam Coleman, aka “Who Got Snacks?”
Born and raised in the Summit City, being a class clown always came easy to Coleman, cracking jokes and making people laugh always put him in a realm of peace.
He never thought of pursuing comedy as a career until it all started during a dark time where depression and darkness were setting in. Creating comedy skits always made him feel better and once things began to take off, Coleman knew comedy was his purpose and that God needed to use him to bring laughter to a world that needs it.
“The Embassy show is designed to express my appreciation for the city of Fort Wayne and how much they support me,” Coleman said. “We are making tickets extremely cheap so that way it’s affordable for everybody to come and enjoy. People should expect raw comedy from me and four other very talented comedians.”
Openers include Aaron Montgomery, Cam Brooks, Alex Eakin, and Kool Kat. Showtime will be at 8 p.m. and I am being told the performance will be recorded which Coleman plans to send to major comedy clubs in the U.S. in hopes of future bookings.
Tickets are on sale for $10-$20 at fwembassytheatre.org, ticketmaster.com, the STAR Bank box office at the Embassy, and by calling (260) 424-5665.

Hop river hosts regifting party
Was there a Christmas gift you got that you know deep down you will never use? Whether a turtleneck sweater, a cheesy porcelain figurine, or a pair of socks from your Aunt Sally, there’s a chance for you to regift it without feeling any shame.
Hop River Brewing Company’s (Re)Gift Exchange Party will take place Friday, Jan. 7, at 7 p.m. and will allow folks to celebrate their bad gifts and regifting to someone else.
No need to stand in line to exchange it when you can simply wrap it up, bring it to the brewery, and grab another unsuspecting bad gift. You never know, you may just love it. Better yet, it might be a Hop River gift card hidden in the mix.
