Fort Wayne Youtheatre will hold auditions for Charlotte’s Web on Aug. 30 and 31 from 4:30-6:30 p.m. at the Arts United Center. The production is for students age 8-18 and will be directed by Todd Espeland.
Named the “Best Children’s Book of the Past 200 Years” by the Children’s Literature Association, Charlotte’s Web is the story of one true and perfect friendship between a pig named Wilbur and a spider named Charlotte.

2021 CELEBRITIES ACT UP
The Fort Wayne Civic Theatre “Celebrities Act Up” fundraiser will be on Friday, Oct. 8, starting at 6 p.m.
This year’s performance will be a comical retelling of the most hilarious (and embarrassing) personal stories of Fort Wayne’s community leaders and CEOs. The evening will also feature a silent and a live auction, as well as a 50/50 Raffle and a Masquerade Monologues Raffle to guess which silly celebrity memory is not true.
There will be an appetizer buffet by Club Soda and an open bar with beer, wine, and a signature event drink. Tickets are on sale now at $150 per person or a reserved table of eight for $1,200. Order at fwcivic.org/masq.
MAD ANT DRUMMER AUDITIONS
Area drummers age 18 and up are invited to audition for the 2021-22 Mad Ant season on Sunday, Aug. 14, from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. at Sweetwater, 5501 U.S. Highway 30 West.

HUMANE FORT WAYNE ‘LOVESEATS’ PUBLIC ART
With the support of local businesses and local artists, Humane Fort Wayne has created interactive pieces as a way for the community to learn more about their work.
All 25 LoveSeats are now on display throughout Downtown Fort Wayne, including at Promenade Park. For a chance to win $500 from Bob Rohrman Subaru of Fort Wayne, take a selfie on the LoveSeats, post to Facebook, tag Humane Fort Wayne, and use #LoveSeatsFW.

LE TOUR DE FORT
The 12th annual Le Tour de Fort, hosted by Fort Wayne Outfitters and Bike Depot, will be held on Saturday, Aug. 21, from 10:30 a.m.-7 p.m.
This social bicycling event will be following guidelines set by the city of Fort Wayne regarding gathering in public spaces. Individual establishments on the route may have additional precautions or measures in place. This year’s proceeds will support the Honor Flight of Northeast Indiana and the Veterans National Memorial and Shrine located at 2122 O’Day Road in Fort Wayne.
Register through Aug. 20. LTdF 2021 T-shirts are no longer available. Riders can purchase a “shirtless ticket” and will be able to choose from a vintage stock of event shirts (color, size, and availability are not guaranteed). Packets can be picked up on Aug. 20 at the Club Room at the Clyde, and the tour starts at noon on Aug. 21, at Fort Wayne Outfitters and Bike Depot, 1004 Cass St.

DARK ART EXHIBIT ON FRIDAY 13TH
13th Hour Exhibition, a dark art exhibit juried and curated by Dee Dee Morrow and Laura Heirigs, will feature pieces primarily by local artists. The exhibition is free and will take place at 1501 E. Berry St., door 207, in Fort Wayne on Friday, Aug. 13, beginning at 7 p.m.
Due to mature content and dark imagery, the exhibit is recommend for teen and older.
Dress in your best dark ball attire, as yourself, or dress to your comfort. Please be aware the pop-up exhibit is up one flight of stairs and is not currently wheelchair accessible.
Breakfast on the Marsh
The Little River Wetlands Project is hosting Breakfast on the Marsh on Aug. 12 for a hybrid presentation that can be viewed virtually via Zoom or in person at Indiana Wesleyan University, 8211 W. Jefferson Blvd.
Presenter Tony Fleming will explore northeast Indiana’s groundwater resource: where it occurs, how it behaves, and the interaction between groundwater and the surface water resources we often take for granted.
