The Fire & Light Academy production of Around the World in 80 Days will run Nov. 11, 12, and 13 at the USF Robert Goldstine Performing Arts Center in downtown Fort Wayne. 

Tickets are available at fireandlightproductions.com for $10 ahead or are $12 at the door. Group rates are available for groups of 10 or more.

Art of Hope exhibit opens soon

Mental Health America of Northeast Indiana’s third annual Art of Hope exhibit will be on display through Nov. 21 at the University of Saint Francis Rolland Art Center, 1200 Leesburg Road, in Fort Wayne. Gallery hours are 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Friday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, and 1-5 p.m. Sunday.

Art of Hope throws a spotlight on local artists and their inspiring interpretations of mental health, recovery, healing, and hope. The exhibit opens the door for frank and fascinating conversations around mental health and the way it impacts lives.

Pottery wheel workshop

The Build Guild will host a pottery wheel workshop on Nov. 11 from 6-8 p.m. at 1025 Goshen Ave. The workshop will demonstrate the basics of using the pottery wheel. 

Pottery made during this workshop will be available for pick up 10 days after the workshop date.

Trivia night to benefit Mustard Seed

NEIMBA will host a trivia night on Wednesday, Nov. 17, from 5-9 p.m. at the Innovation Center, 6601 Innovation Blvd., Fort Wayne. Tickets are $22 and are available through Eventbrite. Teams are limited to eight players. Food, prizes, and a cash bar and table service are available. 

A portion of the proceeds will go to Mustard Seed Furniture Bank. Mustard Seed, founded in 2002, is a self-funded local nonprofit agency that has been assisting families and individuals in Allen and the six surrounding counties.

Auditions set for Sylvia at First Pres

First Presbyterian Theater is looking for actors to be in the hysterical romance comedy Sylvia by A.R Gurney and directed by Reuben Albaugh. The play runs Feb. 4-13. Open auditions are Sunday, Nov. 14, at 5 p.m. and Monday, Nov. 15, at 7 p.m. 

Actors are encouraged to fill out a form in advance at firstpresfortwayne.org/theater/auditions.

The play is about a couple who adopt a dog, Sylvia, and the compromises they make to incorporate her into their lives.
