The Fort Wayne Dance Collective’s annual choreographer’s lab  presents artists of all experience levels with tools to help them choreograph meaningful dance pieces that will be presented this weekend.

During the lab, FWDC’s artistic staff shares their knowledge of key concepts in dance choreography, improvisation, and lighting.

During the creation process, “lab sessions” are held every week to test and share ideas with lab participants and professional dance mentors. This collaborative process culminates in four performances featuring choreography from 20 local artists.

Performances are slated for Saturday, March 5, at 2:30 and 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, March 6, at 2:30 and 6 p.m. at Fort Wayne Dance Collective, 437 E Berry Street.

Tickets are $12 and available at www.fwdc.org.
