Local singer/songwriter and The Voice runner-up Addison Agen will kick off her tour on July 8 at 7 p.m. with a concert at the Arts United Center.
Agen will be backed by her full five-piece band and will play all of her songs from her new album, When the Morning Comes.

Canal Boat River Tours
Guided cruises around the Fort Wayne rivers are now available on an authentic canal boat replica, the Sweet Breeze. Tours start at the south boat dock of Promenade Park at 202 W. Superior St. Each tour provides an opportunity to learn something new about Fort Wayne through its riverfront.
Tickets are $27 per person for a 90-minute tour and $17 per person for a 45-minute tour. Children age two and under can sit on an adult’s lap for no charge.

Science Central Gets you close to Viruses
Science Central’s summer exhibit “Going Viral!” is now open to visitors and members, offering a deeper look at viruses and pandemics. Visitors can learn how viruses spread and why it’s important for scientists from different countries to share information with one another. The development of vaccines and how they work are also included as part of the exhibit.
Despite the risk of “pandemic fatigue,” Executive Director Martin Fisher said visitor feedback has been positive. The exhibit helps fill in any blanks visitors may have when it comes to knowledge of viruses.
“Going Viral!” is expected to run through mid-September and is included with regular admission.
Civic Seeks Set Builders/Painters
The Fort Wayne Civic Theatre is looking for volunteers to help build and paint sets for its upcoming musical, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum.
Volunteers who work a total of eight hours or more will receive two free tickets to the show and an invitation to the Anthony Awards celebration at the end of the season next June.
No experience is required. Volunteers must be age 16 and older and must wear closed-toe shoes. Masks are recommended, but will not be worn onstage during performances. Contact treed@fwcivic.org to receive a Signup Genius link.
The Dinner Detective Returns
The Dinner Detective has returned to Fort Wayne with murder mystery shows paired with a four-course plated dinner.
The action happens throughout the entire room rather than a stage. Actors hide in and interact with the audience, meaning that anyone in the room can end up being part of the show.
Throughout the night a crime will occur, hidden clues will be revealed, and the audience will attempt to solve the mystery. A prize package goes to the attendee with the best explanation of the crime. Prop guns, loud simulated gunshots, and short lighting blackouts are used as part of the performance.
Tickets are $59.95 and include an interrogation reception, dinner, and wait staff gratuity. Beverage service and performer gratuity are not included. Allergy and dietary illness menu options are available but must be requested when placing the ticket order.

Region Earns new Cultural Districts
As part of the Creative Community Pathway program, the The Indiana Arts Commission has designated Fort Wayne and Wabash as cultural districts. Only ten other communities in Indiana have received this designation.
Indiana Cultural Districts promote the exploration of and participation in the arts and humanities through cultural experiences that are unique to the individual communities.
