Local rock quintet Calder the Band will ring in the New Year with a brand new single for our listening pleasure.
“Canon in D” is the band’s latest effort and will hit all the major streaming platforms beginning on Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2021.
The new number sounds a bit like Big Thief, Mac DeMarco, John Michael Sellers, and a little Bob Dylan.
“We’ve been making the best tunes we can for the past three years and are looking forward to sharing what’s next with our sound in this new single,” said bassist Lee Cliff. “We’re looking to make music that brings light into the world as well as finding the best french fries around.”
“Canon in D” marks the band’s first release since adding three new members to the lineup. Together, they will release a full album in the not-too-distant future. That will join their previous efforts Till I Get it Right and He’ll Come Around.
As of press time, Calder the Band doesn’t have any shows booked.
