The Fort Wayne Music Festival is bringing out a Grammy-winning rapper, a pair of other hip-hop artists with songs you will definitely know, and local artists on July  28 at Headwaters Park.

Ludacris will be taking the stage with Juvenile and Chingy following local performers Mic Strong and Timbr Wolf Tone & T Zank. Some lucky fans were also able to snag meet and greet add-ons for Ludacris, but these tickets have since been sold out.

Headwaters Park
333 S. Clinton St., Fort Wayne

Ludacris hails from Atlanta where he began his career in rapping, producing, and acting. I’m sure you’ve heard some of his top hits such as “Southern Hospitality,” “Roll Out,” “Move Bitch,” “Money Maker,” and “How Low.”

Or maybe you’ve seen him in the Fast & Furious  franchise, Fred Clause, or even voicing a character in Doc McStuffins

Ludacris is well known for his energetic shows and getting the crowd hyped up. If you grew up during Ludacris’ prime era of releasing music, you definitely got down on the dance floor at prom or homecoming to some of his most iconic songs.

Nothing to laugh at

Juvenile, out of New Orleans, is a timeless rapper who has worked with some of the biggest artists in the game.

With his breakthrough album 400 Degreez in 1998, Juvenile became a household name within the rap community thanks to the hit single “Ha” and “Back That Azz Up.”

Working with Rick Ross, Lil Wayne, and Drake, he has proved his place as an iconic rapper.

That’s a good song, right there

Chingy, out of St. Louis, began his career at an early age. He quickly became popular in his community and gained the attention of Ludacris, signing with his label Disturbing tha Peace.

Chingy’s most popular song is 2003’s “Right Thurr” that held on to the No. 2 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 for four weeks straight.

Join the crowd

This show is sure to bring out a large crowd, so expect some heavy traffic downtown. The last time Ludacris was near Fort Wayne was in 2017 at the Party in the Park show in South Bend.

Fort Wayne has had some pretty big names come through, and Ludacris is another one for the books. This is not a show to miss.

If you love hip-hop or just would like a fun night out on the town, I highly suggest grabbing a ticket and going downtown to Headwaters Park.
