I was in high school when Cinderella, Nelson, and Lynch Mob stormed through town for a performance at Memorial Coliseum in 1991. At the time, Cinderella and Nelson were at the top of their games with constant radio and MTV play, while Lynch Mob were getting started with their debut album, Wicked Sensation.
Since then, Lynch Mob have disbanded, reunited, and had many iterations of the lineup along the way.
Fast-forward to 2024, when Lynch Mob just announced they will be embarking on a farewell tour, titled The Final Ride in celebration of their 35th anniversary and recently released eighth studio album, Babylon.
The only original member of the lineup is guitarist George Lynch, although drummer Jimmy D’Anda has been aboard a few decades.
Anyhow, the final tour is slated to stop at Eagles Theatre in Wabash on Thursday, Aug. 22.
Folks can expect to hear cuts from the new album as well as classic, career-spanning material like “River of Love” and “Wicked Sensation.”
Tickets go on sale on Friday, Feb. 9, at 10 a.m. at
honeywellarts.org.
In addition, Eagles Theatre have added Spring Fling with the King featuring Doug Church & The Change of Habit Tribute Band on May 2 and War Hippies on Aug. 23. Those tickets also on sale Feb. 9.

Record with Lips Speak Louder at Sweetwater
Speaking of Sweetwater Sound, Sweetwater Studios will hold a recording workshop with producer/engineer Shawn Dealey and the Nashville-based duo Lips Speak Louder on April 19-20.
The group is Rachel Brandsness guitar/vocals and northeast Indiana native Angela Lese on drums/backing vocals.
Lese is a Leo High School graduate now based in Nashville, Tennessee. She has returned to town with previous bands such as The Dead Deads, Raelyn Nelson Band, and Taco Mouth.
Lips Speak Louder tap into a deep and diverse experimental pool and draws from a wide swath of influences from Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Queens of the Stone Age to Garbage and The Killers.
The two-day workshop will take you through the recording process — everything from setting up the studio for recording to tracking and overdubbing all the way through editing and mixing. You’ll learn to comp, edit, mix, apply EQ and effects, and make final decisions to perfect your mix.
