Move over Los Galaxy and make way for Los Electro, the band’s new moniker that sees them stepping away from their funk fusion roots and into progressive Latin rock.
“After Los Galaxy disbanded completely, we changed the name to go a different route, a more Latin route” said guitarist David Vaides. “We range from Spanish rock to cumbia to salsa and rhumba.”
In any event, they provide a good mixture of originals and covers that will have you shaking on the dance floor all night long.
Joining Vaides is his brother and Los Galaxy mate Daniel Vaides on keys, Jesse Gutierrez on drums, and Joab Castañeda on bass.
They have a couple shows under their belts, including a performance at the Baker Street Centre Christmas, and have more on the horizon including The Brass Rail on Saturday, Dec. 16, with Wampus Milk Daddies and Honey Due; The Ruin on Dec. 22; The Club Room on Dec. 27; and The Hook and Ladder in Waynedale on Dec. 30.
There are also talks of an EP early next year, so be on the lookout for that bad boy.

B Movie Monsters celebrate Krampus
Your favorite horror rock band The B Movie Monsters have released a new single, “12/05.”
The song title refers to the date of Krampusnacht, a European celebration where people dress up as the demon Krampus and chase naughty children through the streets, which seems fitting for The B Movie Monsters.
You can find it on streaming services, and by the way it sounds we will be hearing more in the future with the band recording an album over the next couple months.
As of right now, the B Movie Monsters have no dates booked, but be sure to check back with Whatzup.
Third Frame hope to create anthem
It seems like a minute since we’ve heard from our friends Third Frame, but let me tell you, the hip-hoppers have been quite active.
They are set to release a new energetic single, “Now Stomp,” on Dec. 17.
The new number features DJ MR Mixx of 2 Live Crew and hopes to be an anthem for the Indianapolis Colts. That’s right, the hip-hop act sent the song to the Colts organization in hopes of them using it for a fight song for the team.
Let’s hope that works out since it’s a pulsating track that blends the band’s signature style with the iconic beats of DJ MR Mixx. It promises to energize football fans and players alike.
This tune is a follow up to their recent single “Fat B*tches,” which is currently streaming.
Sunshine takes you back to ’60s pop
Consisting of brothers Andrew Moser and Wyatt Moser, Sunshine Production Factory are a ’60s pop band that is beginning to make some waves on the scene.
The duo just released their debut full-length album, Autumn’s Reflection.
“We’ve spent 400-plus hours this year working on the 16 tracks that were recorded and produced at Off the Cuff Records (with Jason Davis),” said Andrew Moser, who can also be seen playing bass with Jonah Leatherman. “We play all of the instruments heard on the record except for the brass, drums, and strings. That would include but not limited to guitars, bass, piano, organ, mellotron, timpani, other percussion, and much more.”
Autumn’s Reflection is currently streaming, so do yourself a favor and check it out.
