Riot Fest has unveiled its 2024 lineup, featuring Fall Out Boy, Slayer, Pavement, Beck, Rob Zombie, Sublime, Public Enemy, The Offspring, St. Vincent, and Bright Eyes topping the bill. 

Riot Fest 2024 goes down Sept. 20-22 at the Chicago music festival’s brand new location. After calling Douglass Park its home nearly a decade, Riot Fest will head south to SeatGeek Stadium in the Chicago suburb of Bridgeview to establish what it’s calling RiotLand. 

Along with the aforementioned bands, other notable acts include The Marley Brothers performing the music of their legendary father Bob Marley, Spoon, Sum 41, Cypress Hill, The Hives, Gwar, Waxahatchee, Tierra Whack, Taking Back Sunday, Dr. Dog, Manchester Orchestra, Mastodon, Clutch, Suicidal Tendencies, Lamb of God, and Something Corporate.

Judas Priest add area date

Judas Priest continue to show why, despite more than 50 years of touring, the heavy metal veterans are still one of the most exciting live shows you will ever see. 

The band just announced a second leg of their Invincible Shield Tour with special guest Sabaton, that will see the New Wave of British Heavy Metal heroes visit Michigan Lottery Amphitheatre outside Detroit on Sept. 17. 

Invincible Shield, is the 19th studio album from Judas Priest. They recently celebrated 50 million records sold over their career.

Neil, Frehley in Wauseon

Mötley Crüe frontman Vince Neil and former Kiss guitarist Ace Frehley are set to tear up the grandstand stage of the Fulton County Fair in Wauseon, Ohio, about an hour and a half east of Fort Wayne, on Sept. 1. 

It will be an unforgettable night as these rock icons perform hits from their respective bands as well as their solo careers. 

The show will be the Sunday before Labor Day, so most of us won’t have to be to work in the morning. Sounds like a great excuse to party late into the night.

Daltrey goes ‘semi-acoustic’

The Who’s Roger Daltrey has announced a 2024 North American solo tour.

The tour will see the legendary singer play “semi-acoustic” shows consisting “mostly of The Who gems, rarities, solo nuggets and a few other surprises performed with an intimate rock-based band.” 

Daltrey will also answer questions from the audience during the show. 

The rock icon will stop by the Meadow Brook Amphitheatre near Detroit on June 25 and the Pavilion at Ravinia in Highland Park outside Chicago on June 29. 

Dan Bern will open in Detroit and KT Tunstall will open at Ravinia.

Pete Rose slides into Lerner

Baseball fans will want to mark Saturday, Sept. 14, on their calendars as the “Hit King” Pete Rose is set to visit the Lerner Theatre in Elkhart to share stories from his career as a player and manager. 

Rose is most prominently known as a member of the Cincinnati Reds, but he also played for the Philadelphia Phillies and the Montreal Expos. During and after his playing career, he served as the manager of the Reds from 1984-1989. 

He is the all-time career hits leader with 4,256, but in 1989, he was banned for life from baseball for betting on his sport.
