Sweetwater Sound have announced Living Colour will grace the Sweetwater Performance Pavilion stage on Thursday, Aug. 15.
Since 1984, this Grammy-winning rock act have been creating their own cult of personality through a fierce blend of heavy metal, funk, jazz, and hip-hop with barrier-breaking lyrics.
Yes, they’re the band behind the hit “Cult of Personality,” but before you write these cats off as a “one-hit wonder,” you should know they have had a remarkably consistent lineup of stellar musicians the past four decades and six albums under their belts (it’s always quality over quantity when it comes to album releases for me).
In any event, their live shows are a must see!
The band recently wrapped up dates with Extreme and are heading overseas for a string of dates before their Fort Wayne date.
If memory serves me right, their last time here was in 2021 when they came through on the Summerland Tour with Everclear, Hoobastank, and Wheatus.
In addition, Sweetwater have also announced that Louisiana powerhouse vocalist Marc Broussard will perform at the Pavilion on Friday, Sept. 6.
The singer-songwriter is out in support of the 20th anniversary of his breakthrough album, Carencro, named after his Louisiana hometown. Released in 2004, the album was Broussard’s major debut and breakthrough that features the hit song “Home.”
Tickets for Living Colour are on sale and Broussard will go on sale Friday, June 21, at 10 a.m. at the Sweetwater campus and online at sweetwaterpavilion.com and ticketmaster.com.

The Used return to The Clyde Theatre
Trivia time: Who was the first national act to perform at The Clyde? Yep, The Used on May 12, 2018.
If you were there, you were a part of history. If not, there’s good news as the Utah-bred rock group will return as they get set to hit the road this year.
The Used will a headline a tour with special guests Plain White T’s and the two-piece grunge band Raue that stops at The Clyde on Wednesday, Sept. 25.
The Used are releasing a B-sides compilation, MEDZ, on June 21 which includes songs recorded during the sessions for the band’s most recent album, 2023’s Toxic Positivity.
