To help get you into the Halloween spirit, Honeywell Center has announced Broadway Fright Night on Thursday, Oct. 24.
This unique event celebrates songs from musicals with supernatural, horror, and sci-fi themes.
Those include songs from musicals like Phantom of the Opera, Little Shop of Horrors, Sweeney Todd, The Rocky Horror Show, Wicked, Jekyll & Hyde, and more.
Curated and presented by New York producer and casting director Stephen DeAngelis, five of Broadway’s finest vocalists will pay homage to the most original, intriguing, and terrifying characters.
Like the majority of the shows, Honeywell Center will have pre-show dining available, so you don’t have to worry about grabbing fast food on your way over.
Tickets for this “spook-tacular” event can be purchased at honeywellarts.org or by stopping at their box office from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday.
Grammy-winning trumpeter stops in Wabash
On top of the Broadway Fright Night news, the Honeywell has also announced that on Sunday, March 9, they will open their stage to the Grammy-winning trumpeter Chris Botti.
The trumpet virtuoso has been one of the most popular instrumentalists in the world for nearly three decades and has collaborated with some of the biggest superstars including Sting, Paul Simon, Barbra Streisand, Tony Bennett, Frank Sinatra, and Aretha Franklin.
I’ll be the first to tell you, I don’t know much about the trumpet, but Botti must be doing something right to be surrounded by that crew.
Grab your tickets at honeywellarts.org or show up at their box office, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday.
Loveseat! playing at Draft Taproom block party

Don’t worry about finding a sitter or telling the kids you’re running to the store for a bit. This is an all-ages event, so bring the whole crew with you. Plus, it’s free to attend.

Taking place within the alleyways and streets of downtown Fort Wayne, music will be supplied by James & The Drifters, The Mad Scatter, a silent disco with DJ Trend, The Ragtag Bunch, DJ Polaris, Los Electro, Intrepid Cat, and more to come.
Catch New League Record on Fortlandia roof

Good thing for you, you will be on the ground and within reach of those tasty Fortlandia brews. One of them will be a special New League Record Hazy IPA available with limited edition artwork by local legend Michael Collins.
It doesn’t get more local than that!
