If you’re looking for an impressive lineup of local musical artists to ring in the holiday season, look no further than Christmas at Baker Street Centre.
With proceeds going to benefit Community Harvest Food Bank, you’re encouraged to “Dust off your ugly Christmas sweater (or your fancy one) and join us for a festive night at our annual Christmas show featuring local musicians.”
Along with the monetary benefit, attendees are also encouraged to bring a canned good to be donated to the food bank.
As if helping a local cause was not enough this holiday season, you’ll also get a night of entertainment provided by Maleena Felger, Alicia Pyle & Mike Conley, Smooth Edge 2, and Los Electro.

If some of the faces in Los Electro seem familiar, it’s because you may have seen them perform with local favorites Los Galaxy.
Los Galaxy’s website describes themselves as “a loose collective of like-minded artists. They spent their formative days busking on the streets of Fort Wayne before evolving into a fully-formed band. Since then, they have become an integral part of the city’s thriving music scene, even earning opening spots for iconic figures including CeeLo Green and Afroman.”
Following their run with Los Galaxy, brothers David Vaides on guitar and Daniel Vaides on keyboard have begun a new venture.
“Recently, we disbanded Los Galaxy as a band,” the younger Daniel Vaides said. “Now (David and I) are going under the title of Los Electro. We’ve still been playing lots of gigs in the Fort Wayne area and are bringing a new taste to the table. Now, our setlist consists of progressive Latin music in which we speak through our instruments and embrace our Latin culture.”
The band, which includes Jesse Gutierrez on drums and Joab Castañeda on bass, is thrilled to bring their unique style to Christmas at Baker Street Centre.
“We’re really excited to perform classic Christmas tunes with our own take on them,” Daniel Vaides said. “Our style and flare will represent Christmas while still having our electro Latin roots mixed in.”
In addition to performing at Baker Street Centre, you can catch Los Electro at O’Sullivan’s on Saturday, Dec. 2, and The Brass Rail on Saturday, Dec. 16.
“Although we’ve changed our name, we’re still going to be growing and filling the streets of Fort Wayne with great music,” Daniel Vaides said.
Along with their energetic live performances, you will soon be able to hear their music in your car, earbuds, or however you like to consume music.
“We’re also going to be releasing a single in the coming month,” Daniel Vaides said.
Stellar Lineup
The performers joining Los Electro in the lineup will also be familiar to Fort Wayne locals.
Young singer-songwriter Maleena Felger has been appearing at Fort Wayne venues since she was in elementary school. Over the summer, audiences saw perform a solo set at Allen County Public Library’s Rock the Plaza.
Alycia Pyle & Mike Conley will also be familiar to audiences from their performances at Rock the Plaza and other local events. Pyle in particular may also be recognized by those familiar with her companies, PyleStyle Events and PyleStyle Academy, as well as her many shows at local eateries like Club Soda and Deema.
Smooth Edge 2, a contemporary a capella group from Fort Wayne, has been a staple at the Baker Street Centre event.
“Formed in 2010, Smooth Edge 2 quickly developed a reputation for their stellar a cappella sound and highly energetic and entertaining live shows,” their website reads.
They have released five studio albums: Secret of Christmas, The Christmas Collection, We Apologize for Mike, Reflections, and 2020 Vision.
