It might be a little early to think about what you are going to do after you spend the day shopping for Christmas presents and seeking some Yuletide joy, but you’re going to want to plan to stop by the Eclectic Room in Angola for an amazing night of comedy Dec. 10.
That night, sound effects genius Michael Winslow and comedy legend Jimmie JJ Walker will take the stage.
Winslow is best known for his roles on the Police Academy movies, while also appearing in Spaceballs and Cheech & Chong’s Next Movie.
Walker, of course, rose to fame on Good Times during the late ’70s, but has recently been seen in high rotation as a spokesperson for Medicare. Hey, don’t blame a guy for trying to make a living.
Be sure to make your way to The Eclectic Room to check out these two legends, because it’s a night guaranteed to be “Dyn-O-Mite!”

Psychedelic fest back in Indy
It’s time to shake the dust off the tambourine and get down to Square Cat Vinyl in Indianapolis for the Back Alley Ballyhoo, Aug. 5-6.
Billed as the Midwest’s premier psychedelic music festival, the gathering returns for its fourth year after taking a hiatus in 2020 and 2021.
In the heart of the Fountain Square neighborhood, the lineup features a mixture of national, regional, and local psychedelic acts of all sorts and includes Fort Wayne’s Heaven’s Gateway Drugs on Friday night along with Night Beats, Post Animal, Sugar Candy Mountain, and four others.
Saturday is headlined by Dead Meadow, with L.A. Witch, Death Valley Girls, Acid Dad, and Spaceface also expected to perform.
There will be vendors, as well as local food and drink options outside and inside at the festival.
