Downtown Fort Wayne has announced a pair of free concert series coming this summer.

This year’s Lunch on the Square is going beyond food and music to help local nonprofit The Growing Lives Foundation, while Downtown Live! will be back at the The Landing on Friday nights.

Every Thursday between June 2 and Aug. 25, a different vendor serving up food from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m.at Freimann Square will have 15% of that day’s sales matched by Barnes & Thornburg LLP in Downtown Fort Wayne’s “Lunch Means More” initiative. Funds raised during the 13-date series will be donated to the nonprofit focused on “empowering, educating, and uplifting students for a brighter future” on Aug. 25.

At The Landing, the inaugural Downtown Live! went so well that it will be back from 6-8 p.m. every Friday between June 3 and Sept. 2, as well as Friday, Oct. 7.
