Sum 41 plan on riding off into the sunset with the upcoming release of their final album, Heaven :x: Hell, which is set to be released March 29.
The Canadian pop-punk masters behind such hits as “Fat Lip,” “In Too Deep,” and “Still Waiting” have announced Tour of the Setting Sum as their farewell, commencing in March.
The Grammy-nominated band will visit GLC Live at 20 Monroe in Grand Rapids on April 26, followed by an appearance at the massive Sonic Temple Art and Music Festival in Columbus, Ohio, on May 17.
After a May 19 show in Virginia, they’re off until the fall.
Once they get back at it, you can catch them with The Interrupters at Masonic Temple Theatre in Detroit on Sept. 14, followed a Sept. 15 show at Blossom Music Center in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio.
Jewel, Etheridge team up
Jewel and Melissa Etheridge are teaming up for a two-part co-headlining tour that features stops in 19 cities, including an Aug. 3 show at The Rose Music Center near Dayton.
In between legs of the tour, Etheridge will play with folk-rock duo Indigo Girls beginning at the Ravinia Festival in Chicago on Aug. 11 and at Everwise Amphitheatre in Indianapolis on Aug. 14.
The announcements noted Jewel will be performing several tunes from her most recent studio album, Freewheelin’ Woman, as well as fan favorites from her early career.
Etheridge will play songs from across her whole career, including her most recent album, 2021’s One Way Out.
Comedy fest in Indianapolis
There will be laughs aplenty when the Indianapolis Comedy Festival comes to Indiana Farmers Coliseum on the grounds of the Indiana State Fairgrounds on March 2.
Sit back and enjoy the fun as “The Diva of Contemporary Comedy” Sommore headlines a night that also includes Lavell Crawford, Bill Bellamy, Tony Roberts, Special K, and Don “DC” Curry.
This is an all-ages show and tickets start at $64.
Bunnymen come to US
English rockers Echo & The Bunnymen have announced spring tour dates.
Titled Songs to Learn and Sing 2024: The Very Best of Echo & The Bunnymen, the trek kicks off on May 7 in Austin, Texas, before winding around to The Fillmore in Detroit on May 25 and Riviera Theatre in Chicago the following night.
Formed in Liverpool in 1978, the band boasts 13 studio albums, the latest of which was released in 2018.
Janet Jackson adds dates
Fans will get another opportunity to see Janet Jackson this summer with the addition of 35 dates to her Together Again Tour.
The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee won’t be the only one taking the stage as rapper Nelly will join the tour as a special guest.
The Together Again Tour celebrates the 50th anniversary of Jackson’s career in entertainment as well as three of her most successful albums: The Velvet Rope (released 25 years ago), janet. (released 30 years ago), and Rhythm Nation (released 35 years ago).
Check this music extravaganza out June 19 at Chicago’s United Center, Riverbend Music Center in Cincinnati on June 22, Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis on June 23, Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in Cleveland on June 25, and Pine Knob Music Center near Detroit on July 2.
