Legally Blonde The Musical centers on Elle Woods, a young, caring, and effervescent young college student. Her story unfolds when her heart and a chunk of her self-worth is crushed by her college sweetheart, Warner.

Expecting a marriage proposal, Warner tells Elle that he is breaking up with her and has been accepted into Harvard’s Law School. Down but not out, Elle, with the support and guidance of her Delta Nu sorority sisters, is accepted into Harvard Law School.

Go Elle!

As her life, love, and law adventures continue, Elle suffers the “slings and arrows” of disappointment and self-doubt. Ever resilient, Elle conquers law school. Along the way she discovers new friends, true love, and most importantly, herself.

Yay Elle!

And now the story heads to the theatre in the time of Covid-19. The last time I wore a mask on stage was in a commedia dell’arte class and performance in graduate school.

However, the rehearsal masks for our show were not worn to inspire humor but, unfortunately, to avoid illness. These remarkable community artists, designers, and crew were up to the Covid-19 challenge and created a joyful, though sometimes challenging, safe rehearsal process for all involved.

On behalf of the creative team and artist, we hope you enjoy Fort Wayne’s Civic Theatre production of Legally Blonde The Musical!
