If you’ve lived in Fort Wayne for even a short period of time, you’ve undoubtedly heard of Old Crown Coffee Roasters. Founded in 1999 by husband and wife team Mike and Jennifer Woodruff, it offers arguably the best locally roasted coffee you can find. The Woodruffs took a leap of faith before coffeehouses were even a thing and before people began to cultivate a more sophisticated palate for coffee. They started small, experimenting and roasting their own beans. Soon they started to understand the nuances of different beans and roasting techniques and expanded beyond sharing with their family and friends. They opened up shop and made their dream a reality.
