After the success of their 2024 reunion, Creed are coming back for another dose of their 2025 Summer of ’99 Tour featuring 3 Doors Down and Mammoth WVH

Unfortunately, this tour has scheduled only one stop in our area, July 20 at the Schottenstein Center in Columbus, Ohio.

“Thirty years in, it’s been a blessing to pick up right where we left off with longtime fans and to meet the next generation for the first time,” Creed frontman Scott Stapp said in a press release. “It’s been an incredible ride, and we aren’t done, so here’s to a ‘Summer’ that never ends. We’ll see you on the road.”

Rock the Country goes big

Nickelback and Kid Rock will co-headline the 2025 edition of the Rock the Country touring festival that visits Hastings, Michigan, just south of Grand Rapids, from June 13-14.

The massive tour aims to hit small towns in the heart of America and, according to the festival website, it “is more than just a festival — it’s a gathering for the true heart of America. This is where hardworking, God-fearing patriots unite under the open sky, celebrating the freedom we hold dear and the power of live music to connect us all. With every note that fills the air, every raised glass, and every shout of excitement, we create memories that honor the spirit of ‘We The People.’ ”

While Kid Rock’s inclusion seems relatively obvious for this America-centric tour, Canadian band Nickelback is more interesting, though their music does tend to personify the heartland of the United States.

Also on the bill are Lynyrd Skynyrd, Travis Tritt, Big & Rich, Sammy Kershaw, Gavin Adcock, Little Texas, Hudson Westbrook, and Logan Crosby

In addition, Afroman, Ying Yang Twins, and Dee Jay Silver will be on hand for “House Party” sets.

Dark Star Jubilee returns

Dark Star Jubilee returns to Legend Valley in Thornville, Ohio, from May 23-25.

Thornville is about 37 miles from Columbus, Ohio, and this year’s festival will feature, of course, the legendary Grateful Dead tribute band Dark Star Orchestra as the headliner each night.

While that would likely be enough for most Dead fans, the bill also sports performances by Moe., Warren Haynes Band, Leftover Salmon, Melvin Seals & JGB, Daniel Donato’s Classic Country and more.

Toto add friends to tour

Toto have announced a summer U.S. Tour with Men at Work and Christopher Cross.

The trio of superstar artists will stop at Riverbend Music Center in Cincinnati on Aug. 3, Ruoff Music Center in Noblesville on Aug. 6, Blossom Music Center outside Cleveland on Aug. 8, Credit Union 1 Amphitheatre in Chicago on Aug. 9, and Pine Knob Music Center in Detroit on Aug. 11.

“This is a tour that musically works, and brings a fresh new summer tour package to the circuit,” Toto’s Steve Lukather said in a press release. “I could not be more thrilled an idea that germinated months ago was able to take flight and become a reality.”

This year, Toto’s song “Africa” off 1982’s Toto IV was certified diamond for sales of 10 million copies. “Hold the Line” off their 1978 self-titled debut was certified triple-platinum for sales of 3 million copies and the ultra-catchy “Rosanna,” also from Toto IV, hit the milestone of double-platinum with sales of 2 million copies. Both “Africa” and “Hold the Line” have reached the milestone of a billion streams on Spotify.

Cumulative Toto album sales now exceed 50 million copies.
