The folks are Copper Canyon are ready to celebrate their fifth anniversary, and someone’s going to be $5,000 richer in the process.
“This is our way of giving back to our customers,” owner Chris Lewis said of Smoke Fest, set for noon-10:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 26, at Copper Canyon, 3261 St. Joe Center Road.

While many might associate a Smoke Fest with barbecue, that will not be the case here. No, this Smoke Fest is about cigars, and there will be plenty for aficionados to enjoy as vendors Drew Estate, Gurkha, Perdomo, Protocol, and Black Label will be on hand.
And what cigar would be complete without a drink? Copper Canyon has that covered with a full bar and food trucks.
Strike up the bands
Then, once the heat begins to subside, local group Whoa, Man! will take the stage at 6:30 p.m., followed by international touring act Led Zepplica, belting out all your favorite Led Zeppelin tunes.
“We got a great stage, so there will be lighting, and the sound will be excellent,” Lewis said.
Touring since 1989, Led Zepplica is fronted by Joe Retta of Heaven and Earth, The Sweet, Dio’s Disciples, and Trans Siberian Orchestra. Their shows promise to be “the next best thing to seeing a live Led Zeppelin mid-1970s performance.”
Along with Retta playing the role of Robert Plant, Lenny Mann will fill Jimmy Page’s role, while Johnny Bruhns is on bass, and Darryl Johnson is on the drums.
Playing the game
What of that $5,000, you might be wondering? Well, to get that, you’re gonna need to be pretty good at cornhole.
Organizers are halfway toward their goal of 50 teams to participate in the cornhole tournament. If they can fill out the other half, one team will take home the $5,000 prize with their $100 entry fee.
“Cornhole is an up-and-coming game in this area, much like pickleball,” Lewis said. “There are people that take it very serious.”
Bags will be supplied for the tournament, but you can bring your own. However, if they are filled with corn, leave them at home — those aren’t allowed.
Hosted by 260 Baggers, the tournament will be one-game double elimination, with a three-game round robin setting.
Tickets can be purchased at the event, via Eventbrite, or by scanning a QR code present on advertisements are the region.
Whether you win the cornhole jackpot or not, Smoke Fest promises to be an event you won’t seen forget.
