Sorry Charlie is a rock band that have been popping up more frequently in the local scene. Their repertoire includes classic rock hits from the ’70s, ’80s, and ’90s, as well as original tunes.
The band made their live debut a year ago and have performed at a variety of venues in town and surrounding areas, including an opening slot for Kashmir: The Led Zeppelin Show at Piere’s last month.
Sorry Charlie’s lineup consists of Caleb Kurtz on vocals, Gary Snyder on guitar, Deacon Schmaltz on bass, and Trey Myrice on drums. Some may recognize Snyder from when he was featured in Whatzup’s 20 Under 20 musician in ’22. Together, they recently recorded an EP they are mixing and mastering and hope to release sometime in May. The band says it will showcase their bluesy side on the album.
Until then, you can see Sorry Charlie at Piere’s on Saturday, April 13, when they open for Back & Forth: The Foo Fighters Tribute and April 27 at Traxside in Garrett.
