Donald Glover recently stated he’ll soon be finishing his time with the Childish Gambino moniker, but the actor/rapper announced he will first embark on The New World Tour to accompany the surprise release of his album, Atavista, on May 13.

The bulk of Childish Gambino performances over the last several years have been at festivals, but this run will see Glover stop in more conventional venues like Schottenstein Center in Columbus, Ohio, on Aug. 15, Little Caesars Arena in Detroit on Aug. 17, and Chicago’s United Center on Oct. 3.

Willow will be the opening act for the shows.

Eilish hitting the road

Billie Eilish’s third studio album, Hit Me Hard and Soft, was released on May 17, and the singer has unveiled arena dates to promote it — as if one of the hottest singers in music today actually needed additional promotion, and the list of sold-out shows verifies that.

The Hit Me Hard and Soft tour sees the 22-year-old take the stage of Detroit’s Little Caesars Arena on Oct. 7, followed by Heritage Bank Center in Cincinnati on Nov. 8 and a two-night stay at United Center in Chicago on Nov. 13-14.

Rocking festival in Detroit

RIFF Fest 2024 will have main stage performances from Godsmack, Seether, Asking Alexandria, Wage War, Sleep Theory, and more at Pine Knob Music Theatre. There will be additional performances by Flat Black, Royale Lynn, Fame on Fire, and Motor City Riffs on the second festival stage located in the parking lot.

Bikers, music come together

The 30th annual Wetzelland Bike Rally continues its tradition of bringing together bike and music lovers for a weekend full of fun.

Taking place July 25-28 in Grover Hill, just northeast of Van Wert, the event welcomes Dirty Honey as music headliners on Friday night and Anthony Gomes tearing up the stage on Saturday night. Ronnie Baker Brooks will also appear Saturday.

In addition to the music and bike show, you will want to take in the tattoo contest, swap meet, burn out competition, bike rodeo, and beer chugging competition.
