Do you like your comedy off the cuff? If your response is, “Yes, and,” then there are a couple of improvisational comedy events coming down the line that will have you marking your calendar.

First up, Allen County Public Library will host an advanced beginner improv workshop at the Dupont Road branch from 6-8 p.m. on Monday, June 3.

The $25 workshop is geared toward people with some experience in acting or improv. It expands on beginner improvisation fundamentals to level up your comedy game.

Participants should wear comfortable clothes and bring water. Although geared toward advanced beginners, improvisers of all experience levels are welcome.

This is Class One of a three-part series and class size is limited.

Later this year, The Humor Association will host Dad Days of Summer at Promenade Park from 5-8 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 11.

The event is free with the donation of school supplies which will go to students in need of supplies as they return to school.

“Dad Days of Summer is not just about laughter. It’s also an opportunity to support local students as they prepare for the upcoming school year,” president Regina Chiappazzi said.

The nonprofit Humor Association will be “servin’ up dad jokes hot off the grill in exchange for each donation.”
