Band of Horses have announced a run of dates that include The Clyde Theatre on Wednesday, July 10. The critically acclaimed rock group formed in 2004 in Seattle and has had their share of lineup changes along the way, pivoting around founding member Ben Bridwell.

Having scored hits with “The Funeral,” “No One’s Gonna Love You,” “Laredo,” and “Factory,” the band have released six studio albums, their latest being 2022’s Things Are Great. They recently released the live album Acoustic at The Ryman, Vol. II

As if Band of Horses was not a big enough announcement, the Bluffton Road music venue has also let us know they will host Hawthorne Heights on Thursday, July 25, with special guests Thursday, Anberlin, Armor For Sleep, Stick To Your Guns, and This Wild Life

Also, In This Moment with special guest We Came As Romans will visit the venue on Thursday, Aug. 1.

Tickets for the shows go on sale Friday, April 19, at 10 a.m. at clydetheatre.com, over the phone at (800) 514-3849, or in person at The Clyde box office and Sweetwater Sound.

Zach Williams, Rival Sons set for Sweetwater

Not to be outdone, Sweetwater Performance Pavilion announced a pair of shows as Christian artist Zach Williams will be there Thursday, Aug. 1, and the triple-bill of Rival Sons, Clutch, and Fu Manchu will stop by Sunday, Sept. 22.

The two-time Grammy winner Williams is a fusion of Southern rock spirit and country soul. He creates music with an exterior which is worn down in the best way, but he is all heart underneath rough guitar riffs and gravelly vocals.

Rival Sons play rock n’ roll in its purest form without apology or pretense. Beyond sharing stages with everyone from Black Sabbath, The Rolling Stones, AC/DC, and Guns N’ Roses, they’ve ignited television shows such as The Late Late Show with James Corden. Last year, the band released a pair of albums, Darkfighter and Lightbringer

Stoner metal brutes Clutch are no strangers to Fort Wayne having performed here on numerous occasions. The band released their 13th studio album Sunrise on Slaughter Beach in late 2022 which hit No. 3 on Billboard’s Top Hard Rock Albums chart.

As for Fu Manchu, the pioneers of SoCal desert rock have been going strong almost 40 years and plan to drop their 13th studio album, The Return of Tomorrow in June.

Tickets for both shows go on sale Friday, April 19, at 10 a.m. at the Sweetwater campus and sweetwaterpavilion.com and ticketmaster.com.

The Clyde celebrates 300th show

If you were in attendance for the Rumours ATL: A Fleetwood Mac Tribute show at The Clyde on Saturday, April 13, you were part of a milestone.

That evening marked the venue’s 300th show since opening their doors in May 2018. Since then, they have welcomed more than 250,000 fans from all 50 states with shows from Ghost to Richard Marx to Primus to Buddy Guy.

Congrats and keep the shows coming!

Foellinger Theatre to welcome Lee Brice

Another concert announcement will please the country fans out there as Lee Brice will be making a stop at Foellinger Theatre on Thursday, Aug. 8.

With more than 3.7 billion on-demand streams, more than 4 billion spins on Pandora, and awards from CMA and ACM, the Grammy nominee has taken nine radio singles to No. 1 including “A Woman Like You” and “Hard To Love.”

When he’s not selling out arenas, writing and recording songs, or building new brands like American Born Whiskey, you’ll find the family man with his wife, Sara, two young boys, and a daughter.

Sounds like the kind of guy we would love to visit our city.

Tickets for Brice are on sale and can be purchased via ticketmaster.com and in person at the Parks and Recreation Department, 705 E. State Blvd.
