Nashville, Tennessee-based trio The Arcadian Wild have announced a string of dates that includes a stop by Baker Street Centre on Saturday, Oct. 21.
The genre-bending group consisting of guitarist Isaac Horn, mandolinist Lincoln Mick, and fiddler Bailey Warren combine elements of progressive bluegrass, folk, and formal vocal music.
Blending the lines between chamber folk and progressive bluegrass, they recently released a single “Corner” off their anticipated new album Welcome, coming out July 21 via Vere Music.
General admission and gold circle tickets for The Arcadian Wild are available for $20-$40 by going to bakerstreetcentre.com or visiting all Wooden Nickel Records locations and at the door.
Loveseat!, Los Lemons performing at The Deck
Local standouts Loveseat! and Los Lemons will team up for a performance at The Deck on Saturday, July 8, at 8 p.m.
The two will perform on a stage set up in the beer garden for those ages 21 and up.
It also happens to be Three Rivers Festival week, so grab yourself a footlong corn dog, ride a couple rides, and take in some good live music.
This will hopefully be the first of many more live shows at The Deck, so be on the lookout for more in the near future.
Guitarist Yngwie Malmsteen coming to Angola
On Saturday, Nov. 16, The Eclectic Room in Angola welcomes Swedish guitar maestro Yngwie Malmsteen to the stage.
If my calculations are correct, this is Malmsteen’s first show in the area since Sweetwater’s 17th annual GearFest in 2018.
In any event, fans will be treated with hits from his four-decade career, proving why he’s one of the most technically accomplished hard rock guitarists out there. Don’t miss your chance to witness a guitar god, master virtuoso, and neoclassical shred master in the intimate settings of The Eclectic Room.
With opening act Steve Ramone, tickets are selling for $30-$75 and available via TicketWeb.
Orianthi teaches Sweetwater masterclass
Speaking of shredders, the Australian guitarist Orianthi will be doing a guitar masterclass at Sweetwater on Saturday, July 15, from 2-4 p.m.
There she will demonstrate the licks she used with the likes of Michael Jackson, Alice Cooper, Carrie Underwood, and a host of rock royalty.
Her two-hour class will cover a wide cross-section of key professional techniques and skills necessary to make it as a gigging guitarist.
