The organizers of Lollapalooza have announced their lineup for the annual musical festival Chicago’s Grant Park, Aug. 1-4.

Perry Farrell’s greatest creation will feature Blink-182, SZA, The Killers, Future, and Tyler, the Creator as headliners. 

Day-by-day lineups will be announced later, but other artists set to perform will include Skrillex, Melanie Martinez, Pierce the Veil, Zed’s Dead, Stray Kids, Killer Mike, Hozier, and more than a hundred other artists. 

After being a touring festival, this year marks Lollapalooza’s 20th anniversary in Chicago, and they recently agreed to another 10-year contract with the city. 

Interestingly, under the terms of the contract, the maximum number of attendees for the festival at any time can’t exceed 115,000. 

Korn celebrate 30 years

Korn will be hitting the road this fall, leading up to their sold-out 30th anniversary show in Los Angeles on Oct. 5. 

Accompanied by Gojira and Spiritbox, the nu-metal icons will make two stops in our region: Sept. 27 at Pine Knob Music Center north of Detroit and Sept. 28 at Credit Union 1 Amphitheatre in Chicago. 

Korn have sold more than 40 million albums, reaching the Billboard Top 10 on 12 occasions, with their latest album, 2022’s Requiem, peaking at No. 14.

Stray Cats go original

Stray Cats original members Brian Setzer, Lee Rocker, and Slim Jim Phantom will reunite this summer for a three-week tour. 

The multi-million selling band’s trek will include the Hard Rock Casino Indiana in Gary on Aug. 10, followed by the Rose Music Center near Dayton on Aug. 12. 

The trio will be joined for these dates by The Midnight Cowgirls

More tour dates are expected to be announced by the band in the coming weeks.

Sting returns to basics

Seventeen-time Grammy winner Sting will do multi-night stays in theaters this fall on his Sting 3.0 tour. 

The stripped-down tour features Sting with guitarist and longtime collaborator Dominic Miller and drummer Chris Maas. 

The trek kicks off at The Fillmore in Detroit, Sept. 17-18, while also visiting Auditorium Theatre in Chicago, Oct. 28-29. 

The 72-year-old former frontman for The Police is one of the most successful music artists of all time, selling more than 100 million albums between The Police and his solo career.

Phish set for annual tour

Perennial summer touring machine Phish will play several dates this summer to keep all the Phish-heads busy. 

Blending elements of a wide variety of genres, the band gained favor amongst Grateful Dead fans early on, gaining popularity in the ’90s before breaking up in 2002 and reuniting in 2008. 

The summer trek kicks off with a three-night stay at Ruoff Music Center near Indianapolis, Aug. 2-4, followed by two nights at Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids, Aug. 6-7. 

Twenty One Pilots to tour

Alternative rockers Twenty One Pilots have announced a fall tour that will come on the heels of their latest album, Clancy, scheduled for release May 17.

Kicking off Aug. 15 in Denver, The Clancy World Tour makes its way to Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in Cleveland on Sept. 28, and Little Caesars Arena in Detroit on Sept. 29, followed by two nights at Chicago’s United Center, Oct. 1-2. They then spend two nights in the hometown of Columbus, Ohio, at Nationwide Arena, Oct. 4-5, before stopping at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis on Oct. 8.
