The final installment of Fort Wayne Children’s Zoo’s Rock & Roar series will take on a spooky feel.
On Friday, Oct. 25, those 21 and older will be get their run of the zoo … well, sort of. You are encouraged to wear a costume, albeit it an appropriate one, and enjoy drinks, live music by Decade Divide, free rides, and access to portions of the zoo during Rock & Roar Halloween.
“This is a 21+ event to give adults a chance to visit their favorite zoo without their little goblins and to have a special Halloween,” said Bonnie Kemp, the zoo’s director of communications.
Rock & Roar Halloween

Fort Wayne Children’s Zoo
3411 Sherman Blvd., Fort Wayne

Plenty to do
The zoo is in the home stretch of their 2024 season with Wild Zoo Halloween taking place each weekend through Oct. 27.
While Wild Zoo Halloween allows costumed youths to get their fill of candy, Rock & Roar Halloween allows the adults to play with the $30 ticket. For those looking for a VIP experience, a $75 ticket will get you exclusive access to The Reef and an appetizer buffet with such delicacies as Stuffed Mushroom Eyeballs, Mini Pumpkin Cheeseballs, BeetleJuice Pasta, and others.
You will enjoy these while the local tribute act Decade Divide.
“Live music at the zoo has been happening for 10-plus years during our Zoofari event, but Fort Wayne is becoming a live music city and the zoo has a great venue for this,” Kemp said.
When you want to take a break from the rocking, there will be other live entertainment, as well as the Z.O.&O. Train transforming into a zombie train.
“A spooky good time,” Kemp said.
