Umphrey’s McGee have announced touring plans in honor of their 25th anniversary of existence.
This full-fledged coast-to-coast tour will have them returning to Fort Wayne for a performance at The Clyde on Thursday, Jan. 26. Opening the show will be Doom Flamingo, a hard-hitting synthwave rock band from Charleston, South Carolina, which features Umphrey’s bassist Ryan Stasik.
The previous two affairs with Umphrey’s McGee at The Clyde were stellar, and I assume this round will be nothing less.

Musicians sought to perform at teds beerhall
teds beerhall is looking for musicians to join its rotating music schedule.
This is a perfect opportunity for musicians to be heard, get a guaranteed gig, and maybe take in a few bucks. Oh yeah, and you get to see your name listed in the Whatzup concert listings, which is a prize in itself.
teds will host an open audition Wednesday, Oct. 19, from 5-9 p.m. on their indoor stage. There will be eight 30-minute time slots available. They will provide the PA, you just need to bring your instruments, gear, and friends to support.

Intimate show slated for Embassy lobby
JD Simo and Patrick Sweany will head to Embassy Theatre on Friday, Nov. 11, at 7:30 p.m. for a limited capacity intimate performance in the lobby.
Simo is a Chicago-born and Nashville, Tennessee-based singer-songwriter, guitarist, and producer who connects the missing link between Motown and Woodstock as he fuses fluid and fiery fretwork with vital and vulnerable vocals. Some of you may recall Simo from his recording workshops at Sweetwater Studios.
Sweany is an American blues rock musician who lives for the grooves with more than 20 years of performing and recording across eight studio albums and dozens of countries around the world.
This performance will be quite the experience. Tickets are on sale at fwembassytheatre.org and the STAR Bank box office at the Embassy.
Blues Bash benefits those with disabilities
Blues Bash 2022, hosted by The League for the Blind and Disabled, will be at Parkview Mirro Center on Saturday, Nov. 19, from 6-10:30 p.m.
This year, the festival returns to an in-person event, and I couldn’t be more excited.
Performing will be the Accidental Blues Band, Milwaukee’s Altered Five Blues Band, and local blind musician Rainee Perdue.
In addition to taking in incredible entertainment, you will have a chance to make an impact on our community by supporting the crucial programs provided by The League. Every day, individuals with disabilities strive to maintain their independence and gain access to all aspect of life that are afforded to those without disabilities. The staff at The League are here to support and advocate for these goals.
