Yes are celebrating the 50th anniversary of their seminal album Close to the Edge with a U.S. tour that includes a stop at the Honeywell Center in Wabash on Nov. 10.
The shows are part of Yes’ ongoing The Album Series Tour 2022, which began in the U.K. in June.
Close to the Edge was the band’s fifth studio album and features an 18-minute title track. Close to the Edge became the band’s greatest commercial success at the time of release, peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard 200, was certified platinum in 1998, and was ranked at No. 445 on Rolling Stone’s list of the 500 Greatest Albums of All Time.
Other nearby stops on the tour include Brown County Music Center in Nashville, Indiana, on Nov. 5, Taft Theatre in Cincinnati on Nov. 6, and Hard Rock Live Northern Indiana in Gary on Nov. 11.
The tour is dedicated to late Yes drummer Alan White, who died in May.
Shelton sets 2023 itinerary
The Voice judge and country megastar Blake Shelton is already planning his 2023 touring year.
His Back To The Honky Tonk Tour kicks off Feb. 16 in Nebraska and winds its way around to Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio, on March 10, Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis on March 11, and Heritage Bank Center in Cincinnati on March 23.
While the itinerary does not, in fact, include honky tonks, Shelton will surely turn these three arenas into the next best thing.
Joining him on the trek are ACM Female Artist and Vocalist of the Year Carly Pearce and rising star Jackson Dean.
“There’s nothing like getting out on the road and taking music to the fans,” Shelton said in the press release announcing the tour. “I feel just as excited to step on stage and perform as I did the very first time. I know my tour mates Carly Pearce and Jackson Dean feel the same, and I can’t wait for y’all to get to know them better.”
Modest Mouse in Chicago
Modest Mouse released their album The Lonesome Crowded West 25 years ago, and the band is celebrating it with a new tour set to begin in mid-November.
The upcoming tour dates will, of course, see the band performing The Lonesome Crowded West in full, along with some of fan favorites to round out the night. In an interesting move, vinyl reissues of The Lonesome Crowded West will also be released as an add-on that fans can select while purchasing tickets for the upcoming tour dates. Copies of the album will also be available at the upcoming shows.
The band’s most recent studio album, The Golden Casket, was released in June.

Dave Matthews adds stops
Mostly known for summer tours that fill the outdoor venues, Dave Matthews Band have announced 11 dates for this fall, beginning in early November.
The tour stops in two nearby cities, at the United Center in Chicago on Nov. 15 and Nutter Center in Dayton the following night.
The press release announcing the additional dates also stated that at the conclusion of the tour, DMB will have funded the planting of 1 million trees through The Nature Conservancy’s Plant a Billion Trees program. In total, DMB has funded the planting of 3 million trees.
