One of Fort Wayne’s most anticipated annual traditions, the 34th annual Wiegand Construction Duck Race takes place at 10 a.m. on July 30 on the St. Marys River.
Watch as more than 20,000 rubber ducks are dropped into the river, “paddling” their way to the finish line. Each duck is numbered and the top 25 finishers will win cash and prizes for their owners, including the grand prize of $5,000.
In addition to the race, the event is designed to keep the whole family entertained and fed with food trucks, live music and kids’ activities. Proceeds will support SCAN (Stop Child Abuse and Neglect) in their mission to protect children, prepare parents, strengthen families, and educate the community.
