Eagles Theatre in Wabash recently made a couple additions to their ever-growing concert lineup.
First up, Thursday, June 9, the theater will bring Billy Bob Thornton & The Boxmasters to town. That is correct, the Academy Award-winning actor Billy Bob Thornton. He actually formed the Boxmasters in 2007 and they have recorded an impressive catalogue of music, which will grow with the release of “Help … I’m Alive” on April 15.
Listening to the Boxmasters, you can hear an obvious ode to the The Beatles, The Byrds, and The Beach Boys.
Their fan base has continued to grow across the country and their popularity has landed them some opening slots for the likes of ZZ Top, Steve Miller, George Thorogood, and Kid Rock. This will be a show you won’t want to miss.
The theater’s other announcement is that Christian rockers Stryper will becoming to the 600-seat facility Tuesday, Sept. 13.
The band burst on the 1980s scene with their groundbreaking “heavenly metal” genre. They sold more than 10 million albums worldwide and garnered Top 40 hits like “Calling on You,” “Honestly,” and “Always There for You.”
In any event, two worthy shows that you will want to add to your calendar.
Tickets for both go on sale Friday, March 4, at 10 a.m. and can be purchased at honeywellcenter.org.

Get Green Fest is branded as the city’s only family-oriented St. Patrick’s Day festival, so don’t hesitate to rally up the family and head down.
