With 24 No. 1 Billboard Blues Albums — more than any other artist in history — it might surprise some that Joe Bonamassa did not rise to fame meteorically but had to build his career in the music industry steadily over the years.
Fort Wayne was a pivotal city in those early days as Bonamassa received a lot of support from local radio, helping him to gain an audience that demanded he play here on several occasions.
Now often hailed as one of the greatest guitar players of his generation, Bonamassa is showing no signs of slowing down. In fact, it seems that he just keeps getting better, as evidenced on his newest studio album Royal Tea. After more than a year off the road, Bonamassa is fully re-energized and ready to put on another fantastic performance in the Summit City when he returns to The Embassy Theatre stage on Oct. 27.
During the show, Bonamassa will perform some new songs from Royal Tea and, possibly, some newer songs written during the pandemic as well as career-spanning fan favorites like “Dust Bowl,” “Different Shades of Blue,” “I Love You More Than You’ll Ever Know,” and “Drive.”
As cool Indiana winds bring autumn into our backyards, there’s never been a better time to get out of the house and head downtown to the warm confines of the historic Embassy Theatre to enjoy live music with one of the most electric live performers in the world.
