Quimby Village has been really hopping of late with The Clyde becoming an incredibly successful venue in a short amount of time and The Club Room at the Clyde becoming a destination for foodies and music lovers looking for a night of jazz or other themed performances.
Now The Club Room at the Clyde is expanding to double the capacity. A recent press release details some of the ways The Club Room is growing to serve its visitors.
“Along with more seating and a larger stage area, the new facility will also include the new Crescendo Coffee & More, featuring coffee from locally owned Utopian Coffee and using the locally designed Modbar coffee delivery system. It’s the same coffee provided at the Crescendo Café located inside Sweetwater. In addition, ice cream, homemade pastries, and grab-and-go sandwiches and pizza will be available at Crescendo Coffee & More.”
Italian Market Expands offerings
The Club Room at the Clyde isn’t the only destination in that neck of the woods getting plenty of foot traffic.
Those who visited Antonuccio’s Italian Market on South Wayne shortly after it opened noted that they were already running out of some of their delectable meats and cheeses because demand was so fierce.
The good folks there saw the demand and met it, and over the holidays they were selling some very impressive charcuterie boards for family gatherings.
Visitors can still order those for takeout or to enjoy on the premises with a glass of wine or Italian craft soda.
They have also expanded their menu to include paninis and salads, all made fresh from their selection of produce, meats, and cheeses. Their menu and other offerings can be seen on their Facebook page.
Roaring Twenties in Auburn
And if the onslaught of Roaring Twenties events on New Year’s Eve didn’t satisfy your cravings for that romantic era of music and literature, fear not: there are more to come.
The Auburn Cord Duesenberg Automobile Museum is hosting The Bootleggers Ball on Feb. 15, just in time for Valentine’s Day. The event is 21 and older. Period-appropriate attire is encouraged but not required.
Delight in the irony of toasting the Prohibition while enjoying an evening of dancing, hors d’oeuvres, access to the museum, a cash bar with period-themed cocktails, and a special exhibit exploring the city of Auburn’s history during the era. Tickets are $30 per person or $55 per couple.
