The Clyde Theatre has hit a home run with the recent announcement that indie icon and one of rock’s most prolific and talented songwriters Ryan Adams will stop by Sunday, June 22.

The seven-time Grammy-nominated artist will stroll through town as he celebrates the 25th anniversary of his debut album, Heartbreaker

To my knowledge, this is the first time Adams has performed in the Summit City, which makes it even more intriguing.

The tour offers fans a unique opportunity to experience the timeless songs that defined a generation alongside his newer works. Each show promises an intimate journey through Adams’ extensive catalog, capturing the raw emotion and energy that have made him a beloved figure in rock and alternative music.

SPIN Magazine has praised Adams as “one of rock’s most talented songwriters.” Now it’s time you come see why.

Tickets for Adams go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 15, at clydetheatre.com, etix.com, over the phone at (800) 514-3849, or in person at The Clyde box office and Sweetwater Sound.

Now, that’s a tribute you don’t see every day.

In addition to this show, Eagles Theatre will supply laughter Friday, May 2, when they welcome Jeff Allen

Act fast to book spot in Rock Camp

I know it’s a bit early to be talking about spring break, but Sweetwater is offering something hot you might want to get a jump on since it sells out pretty quick.

Rock Camp Spring Break ’25 is a five-day crash course in rock n’ roll for aspiring musicians ages 12-18 from March 31-April 4.

During the week, you will form a band, write your own song together, record it in Sweetwater’s world-class recording studios, and design an album cover. Best of all, your band will end the week performing onstage in front of a live audience.

Wow! Where was this when I was a youngster?

The sessions are during the afternoon, so you can sleep in late, grab a bite to eat, rock out, perform on Friday evening, and still have the weekend before you head back to school. Now that’s the rock star life right there.

For more information on this memorable experience, go to academy.sweetwater.com/rockcamp/spring-break.

Out and About covers Northeast Indiana’s most interesting music and arts events. Send your announcements to info@whatzup.com.
