His ninth stand-up special, Intolerant, came out on Netflix last year and he currently hosts his own podcast, I Don’t Know About That with Jim Jefferies.
In addition to the Jefferies’ appearance, The Embassy announced Erth’s Dinosaur Zoo will be at the downtown venue Tuesday, Jan. 21, and Alabama-bred and Nashville, Tennessee-based comedian, actress, and content creator Danae Hays will stop by Friday, March 14, on her The First Time Tour.

Plenty of fall activities at Ambrosia
Ambrosia Orchard in Hoagland will be throwing their second annual Halloween party Friday, Nov. 1, from 5-11 p.m.
The evening will include a costume contest, a new campfire cider, Bahn Mi food truck, and live music by local favorites Sun.Dyle and Kangaroo Kourt, as well as the jazzy, prog fusion band from Indianapolis, Wampus Milk Daddies. The night will feature Sun.Dyle releasing a new single.
There will be a $5 cover with children 12 and under free.
The way I look at it, it’s another chance to get use out of that costume you splurged for at Spirit Halloween this year. Plus, you get to throw back a couple of those tasty ciders from Ambrosia.
In addition, on Saturday, Oct. 26, Ambrosia will be giving youngsters a chance to paint a pumpkin. Bring your lil’ pumpkin with you to decorate a pumpkin, enjoy a cider or soda, and chips all for $10. Ambrosia will supply the paint and brushes. Also, while your pumpkin dries, feed the chickens, sip some cider, and take in the fresh air.
Tribute fit for The King coming to Honeywell
Is it just me or have there been a lack of Elvis impersonators around here these days?
I mean, there was a time when they would come to town and the surrounding areas quite often dedicating to recreating the magic, charisma, and unmistakable sound of The King.
Heck, I even went to high school with a guy that embodied The King in a rhinestoned jumpsuit.
I’m happy to say Honeywell Center will open their stage to Dean Z: The Ultimate Elvis on Friday, Feb. 7.
Dean Z has performed around the world for nearly two decades and even received the honor of being named World’s Greatest Elvis Tribute by Elvis Presley Enterprises. His performance of Presley’s classic hits and beloved favorites will transport you back to pre-Beatlemania.
Tickets can be purchased at honeywellarts.org.

Local music scene loses stalwart
A void has been left in the local music scene with the passing of Thimothy “Tank” Winchester.
Winchester was the bass player for Bludspyre back in the day, although most know him for his work as a soundman for countless bands and venues over the years, most recently Piere’s.
He’s also responsible for bringing numerous national acts to town, which gave opportunity for many local bands to open up.
Thanks for the memories. R.I.P. Tim!
