On Sunday, Feb. 16, The Clyde Theatre will be ready to welcome Keller Williams as he brings his DeadPettyKellerGrass Tour to town featuring The Hillbenders. 

Hailing from Virginia, Williams built his reputation on engaging live performances as a solo artist, singing his compositions and choice cover songs while utilizing onstage looping technology. 

In addition to his live gigs, Williams has nearly always used his albums as a forum for collaborations with fellow musicians, such as The String Cheese Incident, The Grateful Dead’s Bob Weir, banjo master Béla Fleck, and The Travelin’ McCourys. 

Joining him at The Clyde will be his musical compadres The Hillbenders, a five-piece band consisting of dobro, banjo, mandolin, guitar, and upright bass. Together, they will perform versions of Grateful Dead, Tom Petty, and Williams’ classics with harmonious sing-alongs and a hint of psychedelia. 

Opening the show will be our very own Debutants.

Honeywell filling out their calendar

Honeywell Center in Wabash continue to roll with more concert additions to their ever-growing calendar. 

First up, on Saturday, Feb. 22, they will open their stage to An Evening with Steven Curtis Chapman.

 In a career that has spanned more than three decades, Chapman is the most-awarded artist in Christian music history and has sold more than 16 million albums. 

Next, on Thursday, March 20, things will be happening down the street at Eagles Theatre for Hank and My Honky Tonk Heroes that will see Jason Petty celebrating Hank Williams’ 100th birthday with his critically acclaimed tribute show. 

The four-piece band will take you on a nostalgic journey through the legend’s career and his influence on country music. 

Then, on Saturday, April 5, country music icon Lee Greenwood will pay Honeywell a visit. 

Yep, that guy. You probably can’t go to many sporting events or election campaigns without hearing his stand-out hit “God Bless the USA.” Gives you chills every time.

Gomes, Lightfoot Band swing by Baker Street

Guess who’s back? Anthony Gomes, that’s who. 

The guitarist will make his return to Fort Wayne on Saturday, Jan. 11, for a performance at Baker Street Centre. 

Always a Fort Wayne favorite, Gomes will be ready to belt out those thunderous riffs and scorching guitar licks. His performances always pack the house, so act quickly on tickets. 

Before that show though, Baker Street has another good one for you Saturday, Dec. 7, when they welcome The Lightfoot Band. 

Yeah, I wasn’t sure myself, but I was happy to find out that they are original members that recorded the many memorable hits and toured for decades with the late great Gordon Lightfoot.

Phan Gear host Baron for art gala

On Saturday, Oct. 26, from 4-9 p.m., Phan Gear Prints & J Selzer Studio present The Phantom Art Gala at 420 Brackenridge St., Suite 102. 

Costumes are welcome that evening or come as you are and check out the work by local artist and illustrator Tim Baron. 

In addition, there will be door prizes, tricks and treats, spooky art and music, and exclusive poster drops by Phan Gear Prints and Baron. 

Busco Beans brew up scary fun

Busco Beans in Churubusco will host Nightmare on Main Street on Friday, Oct. 25, from 7-10 p.m. 

Everyone is invited to head out to the spot at 209 S. Main St. for a Halloween costume party with prizes awarded to the scariest, funniest, and best-dressed. There will also be free candy for all who come dressed up. Who doesn’t like candy? 

The event will also feature special limited edition menu items and a couple local acts covering the music of rock legends: Jonah Leatherman paying tribute to Neil Young and Sunshine Production Factory covering the music of The Beach Boys. 

Nightmare on Main Street is free and open to all ages.
