On Sunday, April 13, The Clyde Theatre welcomes to town Geoff Tate’s Operation: Mindcrime The Final Chapter.
If memory serves me right, this is Tate’s first time in The Fort with this incarnation, although he’s paid visits numerous times over the years fronting the band Queensrÿche.
The multiplatinum-selling, Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter split from Queensrÿche in 2012. Following a court case, he was granted the exclusive performance rights to the band’s concept albums, 1998’s Operation: Mindcrime and 2006’s Operation: Mindcrime II.
With that, why not take the show on the road and showcase these timeless pieces of work and a clutch of other Queensrÿche classics?
For a guy who’s in his mid-60s, Tate still belts these songs out like no other and shows no signs of slowing down.
Tickets for this show go on sale Friday, Oct. 4, at 10 a.m. at clydetheatre.com, over the phone at (800) 514-3849, or in person at The Clyde box office and Sweetwater Sound.
Becky Robinson brings laughs to town
Another addition to The Clyde calendar is comedian, writer, actor, and voice-over star Becky Robinson on Sunday, March 16.
Many know her as the “Entitled Housewife,” the outspoken, viral golf character she created for virtual comedy variety specials that she self-produced to spread laughter during the pandemic. The videos racked up millions of views across social media and garnered fans across the country.
In addition, Robinson voices Parker J. Cloud in Nickelodeon’s animated series Middlemost Post, is a season regular on MTV’s Wild ’N Out, and appears on Netflix’s The G Word with Adam Conover.

Following his split from the group in 2015, the Australian-born frontman forged on with writing and performing.
His Piere’s performance will include special guests Anything But Human, Shallow Side, Chasing the Devil, and local standouts Controller.
Piere’s is considering this a Halloween Bash, so come in costume since there will be a prize at the end of the night for the best costume.
